Craft beer fans in Belfast are in for a treat this winter with the arrival of a series of award-winning beers from Cork-based microbrewery Eight Degrees in bars and off-licenses around the city.
The popular range of beers is now available in a range of top local bars, restaurants, hotels and off licences, following a new partnership with drinks company, Dillon Bass.
We attended a launch night hosted in Cafe Cuan last week which included a beer and cheese tasting event with Eight Degrees co-founder, New Zealand-born Scott Baigent.
Driven by a passion for producing exciting and adventurous beers using only natural ingredients, the team at Eight Degrees have created a range of world-class small batch beers that have won over legions of beer fans across Ireland and beyond.
Samples of some of their best-selling beers were available on the night, which included the Seisiún IPA, crammed with aromatic hops and the Howling Gale, a Pale Ale with grapefruit and citrus aromas.
The star of the show however was the ‘Full Irish’ – sure to be a hit with any craft beer lovers in the city.
Scott said he was excited to bring the brewery’s range of locally made beers to a thirsty market in Belfast.
“We’ve really enjoyed visiting Belfast this week; the city has an exciting and vibrant food and drink scene,” he said.
“There’s a great fit between our beers and the developing foodie scene here and it’s been a pleasure to meet some of the people that are working hard to put Belfast on the map as a top class destination for food and drink.”
